This Broad Oak is in the Sturry area near Canterbury. Sturry Parish Council’s website is the starting point for village halls, local organisations and parish news. Its directories help connect a visitor or new resident with existing community resources, rather than treating Broad Oak as an isolated destination with its own large visitor centre.
Broad Oak Chapel is another local point of reference, on Chapel Lane off Shalloak Road. Its own network listing provides the address and contact information. For a hall activity or community gathering, check the organiser’s location and current arrangements. When searching for transport or council services, include Sturry or Canterbury: “Broad Oak” alone is not specific enough to distinguish this Kent community from the Sussex villages.
East Sussex · Broad Oak near Brede
The Broad Oak near Brede belongs to Brede parish in Rother district. The parish council describes a community made up of Broad Oak and Brede, with Cackle Street between them. Its parish introduction sets out the local amenities and open spaces, making it a useful place to begin finding community facilities.
Nearby Brede Steam Giants offers a distinctive heritage visit, preserving historic pumping machinery at the former waterworks. Plan around the organisation’s advertised open days and visitor arrangements; this is not an attraction to assume is open every day. Combine its own information with the parish pages when exploring the area, and keep “Brede” in your search to avoid the other Broad Oak near Heathfield.
East Sussex · Broad Oak near Heathfield
The second East Sussex Broad Oak covered here is near Heathfield, in Wealden. Broad Oak Village Hall on Burwash Road is a useful community contact, with a hall, meeting space and facilities for local activities. Its website links to regular groups and provides a calendar for checking booking availability.
The hall site also includes a fenced children’s park managed by Heathfield and Waldron Parish Council and the local Scout headquarters. For activities, follow the relevant group’s information rather than assuming membership or drop-in access. Use “Broad Oak, Heathfield” and the hall’s TN21 8SS postcode when checking a venue: the Brede-area Broad Oak is a different place, despite sharing the same county.
